Zinnie Harris has been announced as a finalist for The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for The Wheel. The Prize honours an outstanding new English-language play by a woman.
Directed by the National Theatre of Scotland’s Artitsic Director, Vicky Featherstone, The Wheel‘s wit, spirit and dynamism won over audiences and critics alike at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2011. The production was awarded joint winner of The 2011 Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award and recieved a Fringe First Award.
Zinnie is one of ten finalists chosen from over 100 submitted plays. The Winner of the 2011-2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize will be named at the Awards Presentation on February 28th in London.
