Ignition Open Day in Lerwick

IgnitionJoin us in Lerwick on Saturday 12th January 2013 for an afternoon full of fun and thought-provokling activities.

The Ignition Open Day is your chance to get involved with the project as we work towards performances on Shetland in March 2013 which explore our bittersweet relationship with the automobile.

  • Free music, dance and parkour workshops will warm you up.
  • Sew together the car-cosy the Car Yarns knitters have been working on.
  • Enjoy live performances.
  • Settle down with a screening of a road movie.
  • Take part in discussions at a symposium about the future of the car, with well-known speakers from Shetland and beyond.

The Ignition Open Day takes place at Mareel and Shetland  Museum from 12pm – 5pm, 12th Jan 2013.

About National Theatre of Scotland

All of Scotland is our stage. In our heart is an ambition to transform the world in dreams and drama, to make incredible things happen in unbelievable places. We’re where Scotland comes to play. We’re an ever-evolving family of play makers, theatre originals, maverick thinkers. We’re technically adventurous, fearlessly collaborative. We’re what our artists, performers and participants make us. And with no building of our own, we have the freedom to go where our audiences take us. There is no limit to what we believe theatre can be, no limit to the stories we are able to tell. All of Scotland is our stage, and on that stage we perform to the world. We are a theatre of the imagine: a Theatre Without Walls.
